The 42-year-old police officer arrested in connection with kidnapping

Bloemfontein-a police officer was arrested in connection with the kidnapping of the 19-year-old Kamogelo Baukudi, in Bloemfontein.

The 42-year-old Sergeant is expected to appear in court on Monday.

Baukudi was missing on Thursday when he was taken by two unknown men who wore police uniforms.

The officer was arrested after the investigation had connected him to the political west that was used to kidnap Baukudi.

Baukudi remains missing and the SAPs say that they continue to prioritize his safe return home.
