Johannesburg – A police officer arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a teenage boy in the free state is expected to appear on Monday for a Bloemfontein Court.
The 42-year-old is accused of the kidnapping of the 19-year-old Kamogelo Baukudi.
The teenager was kidnapped last week after he and a friend were persuaded by two men who were suspected as police officers.
The alleged fake police told the boys that their car was linked to drug delivery and ordered them to drive to Park Road’s police station.

Baukudi was placed in the men’s cup before it disappeared along the way.
His place of residence is still unknown.
Although the role of the officer in the kidnapping is unclear, the spokesperson for the Free State Police Motantsi Makhele said after extensive interrogation, the 42-year-old officer was held in custody.
