FS Asbestos test in which Magashule was involved, 16 others postponed until January 2026

Bloemfontein – former Prime Minister Ace Magashule of the Free State and 16 others will have to wait another six months for their day in court after postponing their high -profile asbestos process.

The process was expected to resume in the Bloemfontein High Court on Wednesday, after the end of the process-in-a-trial, in which the former personal assistant of Magashule, Moroadi Cholota, saw, Run free after her extradition of the United States (US) was destroyed.

The state said there is a reasonable chance That concerns judgmentAdding that cholota was central to the case.

While the application for leave is lodged for next Friday, the main process was pushed back to January 2026.

“The State is of the opinion that there are indications that Mrs. Cholota implies and that is why we would like to see her stand process,” says National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) national spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga.

“Unfortunately, the court has to give us a complete written opinion on which a decisive determination has taken on the basis of appeal and a final decision to request leave to appeal.”

A frustrated but self -assured Magashule said that the state only postponed the inevitable.

“The state plays games here. They know they don’t have a thing, and they will still be ashamed, you will see. We are ready to embarrass the state.”
