Free State Police says they are the Five men arrested In connection with the kidnapping of The 19-year-old Kamogelo Baukudi.
Earlier this morning the police saved the student 11 who was abducted on June 5, while he was on his way home to school.
This brings the total number of arrests in the case to six.
The police Makhele spokesperson said: “This morning we started with an intelligence -driven operation that led us to the Township Qibi van Wepener, where the three suspects were intercepted on the road in the company of Kamogelo and that led us to a house in the same municipality where two other suspects were arrested.”
“The five suspects were taken into custody and we expect that they will soon appear in court.”
Makhele also says that Baukudi will undergo a profound medical control, although he seems to be in good health.
“He is reunited with his mother. He looks very tired and you will understand the time he is being held in this house. And then he will certainly have to go for a medical check, just to further control his condition, but he is fine. He shows no visible injuries, so we can say that he is safe at home.”
