Eastern Cape Floods | Death toll over 90 as search for more bodies continues

MTHATHA, EC – The number of bodies recovered in the Eastern Cape on Saturday has risen to five. 

This takes the tally to over 90 people that have died from floods that battered the province and left hundreds of people homeless.

Many people remain missing and unaccounted for while search and rescue operations continue.

President Cyril Ramaphosa proposes a day of remembrance and says support will follow damage assessments.

As rescue operations continue, senior reporter Aviwe Mtila spoke to police minister Senzo earlier.
