JOHANNESBURG – With next year’s local goverment elections approaching, by-elections in various municipalities are showing some interesting trends and results.
In by-elections in Mpumalanga,  the ANC and the MK Party have shown some strong performances. The ANC romped to victory in Ward 18 of the Thembisile Hani Municipality, winning over 70-percent of the votes.
Interestingly, the MK Party overtook the EFF into second place, with 15-percent.
Election analyst, Wayne Sussman discussed these results and others in Mpumalanga.
