Johannesburg-High Court from Bloemfontein will perform a judgment on jurisdiction in the process with a process submitted by the former personal assistant of the former free state of Premier Ace Magashule on Tuesday.
Moroadi Cholota is one of different people, including Magashule, accused of corruption in the asbestos tuning of several millions.
Cholota challenges her extradition from the United States (US) after she had been returned to the country in 2024 to get accusations in the issue.
She said that the Bloemfontein High Court had no jurisdiction to hold its criminal liable in the asbestos fraud and corruption case.
Cholota claims that her extradition in Hollywood style from the US was illegal.
In April, the Cholota court gave a special plea to challenge her extradition in a trial-in-a-trial.
In the weeks in which the case was heard, her defense argued that public prosecutors and Hawks researchers overpower their hands, intimidates Cholota and submit false documents to the US to get the extradition assignment.
The state in the issue denies this.
In Tuesday’s proceedings, Judge Phillip Loubser will decide whether Cholota will be with the other accused in the main process when he will resume.
