KWAZULU-NATAL – KwaZulu-Natal police have shot dead five double-murder suspects in Hammarsdale in KZN.
The suspects were wanted for the murders of a couple last week.
Police received intelligence about their movements and signalled for them to stop their vehicle.
But they responded by opening fire on the officers.
The five suspects, who are also linked to the murder of two police officers, died in the ensuing shootout.
Police recovered three firearms from their vehicle, which they believe could be linked to other violent crimes.
