Vaal dam | Urgent evacuation orders for residents

ORKNEY – Authorities are warning those living near the Vaal River to evacuate due to the risk of flooding.

A fifth sluice gate has been opened at the Vaal Dam.

It was opened after water levels reached 109-percent.

At the same time, several towns in the North West saw localised flooding after heavy downpours over the last few days.
