Public Protector finds ex-free state of Premier abused state resources in ANC campaign

Public Protector Koleka GcALeka has ruled that the former Prime Minister of the free state of Sisi Ntombela used incorrect state sources when she was assigned an RDP house to the wrong beneficiary during an ANC Letsema campaign event. The investigation found a clear violation of the separation between state and party activities, in which a house funded by the government is used by the Government to promote party interests. While President Ramaphosa was released from misconduct, civil servants have strict timelines to remedy the home allocation and tackle constitutional violations.
