The Johannesburg help services have warned motorists to be vigilant on the roads afterwards Heavy rain showers in the city and the surrounding areas.
EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi says the roads are wet and this can lead to serious collisions.
He says that motorists and pedestrians must prevent them from crossing low -lying and flooded bridges.
Mulaudzi has also urged people in low -lying areas and informal settlements to evacuate if the need occurs.
“It rains in most parts of the city. Motorists are encouraged to be careful while driving. Maintain a safe next distance. Avoid flooded roads and bridges. Our residents in our low -lying areas avoid crossing river flows. We remain at high alarm that all seven regions of the city guarded for all emergency situations that can occur, “explains Mulaudzi.
