Discussion | Alcohol rules for the Eastern Cape

MTHATHA, EC – The death of 21 teens at Enyobeni tavern in East London in 2022 prompted the Eastern Cape Liquor Board to look at their controls around trading in alcohol.

The Board implemented new regulations which took effect on March 1, 2025.
