Police have arrested two more suspects in connection with the torching of over 50 Putco buses in Mpumalanga last month.
Police say the suspects were arrested on Tuesday at Siyabuswa in Mpumalanga.
The suspects are expected to appear at the Mdutjane Magistrate’s Court today on charges of malicious damage to property.
This brings to four the number of people arrested.
During the torching incident last month, a group of armed individuals driving a Quantum, a minibus and a sedan set fire to the buses at various depots in the area.
Several employees were attacked, one security guard sustained a gunshot wound whilst others sustained some injuries after being reportedly assaulted.
The suspects, who were wearing balaclavas and black clothing, also reportedly held the employees at gunpoint during the attack.
