NORTH WEST – SA Army chief has paid tribute to rifelman Mokete Mobe
SA Army chief, Lieutenant General Lawrence Mbatha, says Mokete Mobe’s remarkable legacy will forever be etched into our hearts and minds.
SANDF rifleman Mobe was killed along with 13 others in the DRC in January.
He is being laid to rest in the Free State on Saturday.
Speaking at the funeral Mbatha said Mobe devoted his life to serve the nation.
“We pay tribute to this national hero recognising his outstanding accomplishment, honoring his bravery, and saluting his selfless commandment,” Â he said
Mbatha said as they say their final goodbyes to Mobe he takes comfort in knowing that his legacy will inspire the the force
