Several passengers have died in a road crash between a taxi and a bakkie on the R40 road in Hoedspruit in Limpopo.
The total number of those killed has not yet been confirmed.
It is believed that eight of the deceased are employees of a local fruit and vegetable store.
The cause of the fatal crash is not yet clear.
The road has been closed, as emergency personnel work to put out the fire that erupted when the vehicles collided
