Four students raped at Limpopo college

Police say the armed man held a group of eight female students at gunpoint before sexually assaulting four and robbing them of their cell phones.

The victims are aged between 20 and 21.

Provincial police spokesperson  Stephen Thakeng said the ordeal began shortly after one of the students left the residence to fetch water.

“The provincial commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe, has directed police to use all resources to track and trace the suspect who actually instructed the eight students to undress at gunpoint and selected four who were raped.

“Two cell phones were robbed, and the suspect fled on foot from the scene.”

Police say the suspect was wearing a black balaclava, black jersey, blue jeans, black gloves and white sneakers at the time of the incident.
