Johan Hattingh, the CEO of PMR.africa, said the aim was to celebrate excellence and acknowledge businesses from Mpumalanga. “We conduct a survey on an annual basis in the province and we interview a group of respondents. Then they nominate and rate companies and institutions based on who they think is doing a lot to contribute to economic growth and development. The big thing about the awards is that we want companies to celebrate excellence, but the important thing is we want them to acknowledge their teams.”

During Grimbeek’s presentation at the event, she said she would like to invite everyone to join the KLCBT’s new programmes.
“These include the massive integrated security programme, which is protecting the unprotected zones – our streets and main roads. Please contribute towards it, because we cannot do it without you. But it is protecting all of us.”
