The hospital closed its doors due to the threat of flooding in the area.
It had to cease operations and evacuate patients to nearby facilities after the Palala Dam began overflowing.
“All patients were safely relocated to nearby healthcare facilities, and essential services were redirected to ensure that those in need continued to receive care without disruption,” said Limpopo Health Department spokesperson Neil Shikwambana.
“We are grateful for the community’s support and cooperation during this challenging period, and we are pleased to report that the situation has stabilized. The hospital is fully operational and ready to serve the public once again.”
