JOHANNESBURG – It’s a wet and cloudy start to the New Year in some parts of the country
Gauteng is set to experience on and off showers today with thundershowers expected in Vereeniging.
Similar conditions are also forecast in parts of the North West province, Free State and the Drakensberg area of KwaZulu-Natal.
Forecaster Celeste Fourie: “The western parts of the country so that would be the Western Cape, most of the Eastern Cape, and the western half of North West province and Free State province are experiencing clear skies with mostly warm to hot temperatures and, lastly, for the Limpopo and Mpumalanga province partly cloudy conditions but there are some isolated thunderstorms developing just in the vicinity of Standerton and Ermelo side.”
