The police have opened a culpable homicide case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

In response to the tragedy, the Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security, and Liaison, Jackie Macie, extended his heartfelt condolences to Ndlovu’s family, friends, and colleagues.

“This is a devastating loss, but we urge traffic law enforcement officers to remain committed to making our roads safer,” said MEC Macie.

“While pursuing errant drivers, we want our officers to prioritise their safety, remain vigilant, and provide mutual support on the roads. At the same time, motorists must adhere to the directives of traffic officers to prevent further loss of life.”
