A 28-year-old man who allegedly raped and impregnated a 13-year-old girl is expected to appear at the Seshego Magistrate’s Court outside Polokwane in Limpopo today.
The man faces charges of statutory rape.
The girl is among 31 teenagers who delivered babies on Christmas Day in the province.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says Deputy Police Minister Polly Boshielo will be in court to support the girl’s family.
