Eight people have died and 32 others were injured when a bus overturned on the N1 near Worcester in the Western Cape on Sunday.
The Western Cape Department of Mobility said 14 people were rushed to hospital, with seven of them in serious condition.
Mobility MEC, Isaac Sileku said the bus was travelling from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town when it overturned.
The accident happened just before they were supposed to stop in Worcester to rest.
Officials are still investigating what caused the accident. Rescue and traffic teams remain on the scene to assess the situation.
