Christmas Babies | More than 570 bundles of joy were welcomed

JOHANNESBURG – More than 570 babies, including six sets of twins, have been safely delivered in public health facilities across the country, most of them in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.

New mothers are urged to register the birth of their children.

Unicef ​​says two in ten children worldwide are still unregistered and invisible to government systems.

The Deputy Home Minister joined Gauteng Health at Tembisa Hospital to welcome Christmas miracles.

A total of 184 Christmas babies were registered in the province.

The Ministry of the Interior has set up offices in hospitals to register newborns.
