CAPE TOWN – Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says water woes in Gauteng are self-inflicted. 

She says municipalities were warned in advance to take care of infrastructure.

The remarks come amid a water crisis that has gripped the province, with restrictions up to level 3.

Majodina outlined her department’s accomplishments and challenges during its first 100 days.
