Mpumalanga police are investigating the fatal shooting of medical doctor, Nondumiso Sibanyoni, outside a gym in Mbombela earlier today.
Police Spokesperson Donald Mdluli says she was stationed at the Rob Ferreira Hospital.
Mdluli says the victim was shot after leaving the gym allegedly by two suspects who are still at large.
Mdluli appeals to anyone with information to come forward or call the police toll-free number 10111.
“Police, as well as paramedics, responded to the call and found the victim outside the vehicle. Unfortunately, she was certified dead by the medical personnel. The circumstance around the tragic incident are still under investigation. Police’s preliminary investigation indicated that she was shot by two suspects who are being searched by the police. Currently, no arrest has been made. The suspect are still at large,” says Mdluli.
