POLOKWANE – The annual Provincial Employee Health and Wellness Sport and Recreation Day was hosted at the Polokwane Cricket Club at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, with employees from provincial departments gathering to participate in various sports activities, including aerobics, netball, soccer and fun activities.
According to the organiser, Tlakale Nkadimeng, the director of transversal employee health and wellness from the Office of the Premier, the aim was to ensure that public servants participate in team-building and stay healthy mentally, physically and financially through all services provided.
“We believe a healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, which leads to improved thinking and productivity in the workplace.” He said they encourage more officials to join the experience as it makes for great colleague relations while getting fit at the same time.
