The event, which kicked off in Polokwane on Thursday, aims to attract investment into different sectors of the economy, such as agriculture tourism, infrastructure and mining.
“This is a conference that will make sure that all that I presented during the opening of the legislature if you remember all the beautiful things I was talking about. The agro-processing, the mineral beneficiation, all of them, this is the conference that will deliver,” Ramathuba told delegates during her keynote address.
“There’s nobody in Mowaneng, where my offices are, who can make sure that they unlock all these potential except this conference.
“So expect, after this conference, a completely different province called Limpopo.”
The investment conference was launched by then-premier Chupu Mathabatha in 2021.
Thus far, pledges totalling R162 billion have been made.
The provincial government confirmed that R61 billion has already been used, and 51 thousand jobs have been created.
This year’s conference aims to achieve R50 billion in pledges.
