Illegal mining | Police continue to monitor Stilfontein shafts -

JOHANNESBURG – Police continue to monitor shafts in Stilfontein in the North West.

This as scores of illegal miners remain underground, with some of them alleging that they were forced underground and held against their will.

On Wednesday, 20 illegal miners surfaced through the Margaret Shaft in the North West, the youngest just 14-years-old.

Some of them are appearing in court on Thursday.
