FLOWER FOUNTAIN – The Free State has joined Gauteng in banning the sale of food and snacks inside and outside school buildings.
It comes after more than 100 cases of food poisoning were reported at three schools.

More than 40 students from Ihobe Primary School in Mangaung were hospitalized on Thursday after allegedly consuming items purchased from local spaza shops and vendors.
The Ministry of Education will also work with other departments to identify the source of the poisoning.
