Free State Public Works MEC Dibolelo Mance will launch the Public Works Program (EPWP) Comprehensive Craft Development Project on Friday, which will fill more than 2,000 vacancies in the craft sector.
Speaking at the launch in Bloemfontein, Mance said the department underlined the critical role of the EPWP in addressing the province’s most pressing socio-economic challenges.
“The EPWP model is one of the government’s most important instruments in the fight against poverty and unemployment. It has the power to not only alleviate poverty through employment, but also create much-needed infrastructure in underdeveloped areas. That is why this launch is so important,” she said.
