Western Cape police arrested three people in connection with Thursday night’s shooting of seven people in Bishop Lavis.
Brigadier Novela Potelwa said the suspects are aged 17, 24 and 29.
She said they were arrested by members of a multi-disciplinary team, who also sezied a firearm during the arrests.
Brigadier Potelwa said they face charges of murder, attempted murder and the possession of unlicensed firearm charges.
They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.Â
Potelwa said additional police deployments were assigned to Bishop Lavis, and will patrols, high density operations and raids.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Potelwa said the investigation into an earlier mass shooting in Atlantis continues.
Five people were shot dead, while five others wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting on Wednesday night.
No arrests have been made as yet.
