Running out of patients: Over 2 000 on Gauteng’s cancer treatment waiting list as millions remain unspent

More than R500 million of the Gauteng health department’s budget for urgent cancer cases was unspent since the last financial year. This as 2 652 people languish on its waiting list for radiation therapy.
