The 31-year-old woman had been missing for two weeks.
She was found buried in a shallow grave inside the boyfriend’s bedroom this week.
“Police managed to open the deceased’s partner’s room. It was realised that the floor had been recently refurbished, and that raised suspicions,” said police spokesperson Magonseni Nkosi.
“Investigation was conducted. As a result, it was discovered that the missing person was buried in a shallow grave and covered with cement.”
The 40-year-old suspect was found at a hideout in Mamelodi on Thursday.
He is expected to appear in the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
