Families demand swift accountability over Soweto children deaths

SOWETO – Naledi in Soweto is mourning the tragic deaths of five children who are believed to have succumbed to suspected food poisoning. 

The children reportedly fell ill after consuming food from a local spaza shop.

A sixth child who also ingested the contaminated food is battling for their life in the hospital.

Parents of the deceased children are calling on the government to respond swiftly to the situation, seeking answers and measures to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
