The City of Roses prepares to celebrate African culture, talent and creativity with the inaugural Cultural Urban Festival Africa (Cufa). The festival takes place from October 3 to 13. Mangaung will host the largest cultural event on the continent, bringing together music, sports, art and comedy during the 10-day festival.

With a line-up of top artists, sports icons and influential women, Cufa promises to be an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Zonke, Lira, Maleh, DJ Zinhle and Scorpion Kings will headline the event.

Cufa’s Ben Moseme said the event will feature local and international stars including Prince Kaybee, Oscar Mbo, Vusi Nova, Zonke, Alayen and Semito.

“The Cufa Cup will bring together two of Africa’s biggest football giants in an exciting showdown, broadcast live. The landmark event is on track to become Africa’s premier festival, uniting music, sports, comedy and culture in a ten-day experience,” he said.

Keynote speakers include the Prime Minister of the Free State Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae, Prof Mamokhethi Phakeng, MEC Zanele Sifuba and Connie Ferguson.

Moseme said: “A vibrant five-day event will include arts, crafts, local food, traditional Basotho culture exhibits, indigenous games and a special children’s village. Influential women from across South Africa will lead discussions and networking opportunities. Cufa comedy is led by Tumi Morake and David Kau”.
