JOHANNESBURG – The Gauteng Tourism Authority says it hopes several newly declared World Heritage Sites will boost revenues.
About 10 locations, including Freedom Square, the Union Buildings, Mandela House and Constitution Hill, have been added to the list.
The tourism sector needs a boost as it has not yet fully recovered from the Covid-19 recession
As part of the festivities, some of the country’s leading women were honoured, including newly appointed Chief Justice Mandisa Maya.
