JOHANNESBURG – The Court of Audit has found that of the 257 municipalities in the country, only 34 have received a ‘good health declaration’.
That is a decrease from 38 the year before.
The decline underscores the challenges municipalities continue to face, including insufficient skills and a lack of accountability and consequence management.
