Tshwane mayor confident he will survive no confidence motion

JOHANNESBURG – Tshwane mayor Cilliers Brink is positive that he will still be mayor next week.

A motion of no confidence will be tabled against him at a meeting of the council.

Brink says they are trying to work out a possible working agreement with the ANC.

He says ActionSA’s decision to Tshwane’s multiparty government is a breach of the coalition agreement.

Brink has called Herman Mashaba’s move irresponsible.

He adds that the Metro’s finances are recovering.

This is due to tough decisions taken by the executive and political stability have improved its financial outlook.
