Strategy to woo more Northern Cape tourists

CARNARVON, Northern Cape – Scientists at the Square Kilometre Array in the Northern Cape emphasise that South Africa has set the standard in radio astronomy.

The telescope project, located outside the town of Carnarvon, is now used as the focal point for what’s being dubbed “Astro-tourism”.

The strategy leverages the SKA telescope for the local tourism and hospitality sectors.
