The bail hearing of a Limpopo pig farmer charged with murdering two women whose bodies were found in a pigsty, will take place in October in the Polokwane Regional Court.

Zachariah Olivier and co-accused Rudolph de Wet and William Musora made another court appearance on Tuesday.

They are alleged to have shot and killed 47-year-old Mariah Makgato and 34-year-old Kudzai Ndlovu, and wounded Ndlovu’s husband Mabutho after they had entered Onvervaght farm to collect expired goods.

Mabutho managed to escape and reportedly learned later that his wife was dead.

National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, said the accused will remain in custody until their bail hearing on 2 October.

“The DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions) has issued a certificate indicating that the bail application hearing be held in the Regional Court of Polokwane,” she said.
