All-rounder Shane Dadswell has joined Mpumalanga for the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.
Dadswell previously played for Easterns in division two of South African domestic cricket. He has also represented the Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 and Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League.
Mpumalanga have also gained the Titans’ Musa Twala, Border’s Nonelela Yikha and former Tuskers spinner Kurtlyn Mannikam.
All-rounder Ruan Haasbroek has been appointed Northern Cape captain for the 2024-25 T20 Knockout. Haasbroek captained Limpopo to the T20 Knockout title last season – and has since moved to Northern Cape.
“It’s a massive privilege. The Heat have a history of winning big trophies and a strong winning culture, which is exciting. To lead a team like that in such a special union is an honour. I’m looking forward to the challenge,” said Haasbroek.
“What I’ve brought from last season is definitely the ability to find ways to win games. We had a lot of close games, so just figuring out how to do whatever it takes to get over the line is something I hope to instil in this team.
“I’ve got no doubt that with the characters we have, we’ll make it happen. There are so many experienced guys in this team, which will make my job a lot easier. It’s more about managing players and learning from them.”
