GP Education MEC pledges to safe-guard teachers’ jobs

JOHANNESBURG – The Gauteng Education Department has moved to reassure parents and guardians that teachers’ jobs won’t be affected by budget constraints in the province.

Education MEC, Matome Chiloane, was providing updates on the sector and the department’s pupil placement process.

The parents of around 800-thousand grade 1 and grade 8 pupils are expected to receive placement offers from Monday.
