His family went to Sebokeng in the Vaal on Monday to view the body of their beloved son for the first time after the tragic incident.

Returning with sadness written all over their faces, the family came back holding a grey t-shirt that was wrapped around the stick which is normally used to collect the spirit of a deceased person.

Daily Sun approached the family for a short interview relating to the incident. They were, however, unable to speak. They asked for more time to discuss amongst themselves and appoint a family spokesperson, should they decide they want to speak.

The public, who were fond of him, took to social media platforms to express their heartfelt condolences. Katekani Shivambu wrote, “Truly being in his transport is one of our best childhood memories.

Looking at these pics floods me with such amazing memories with my transport mates and our driver Dali26. Honestly, there was never a dull moment here. Wow, I’m truly gutted by his passing, man. #RIPDali26”.

Andile Buthelezi said, “Death be not proud. Can’t believe what I just read about a humble soul. Rest in peace, Dali26”.
