South African corruption crisis | Cholota linked to Free State asbestos fraud

BLOOMMONTEIN – Moraadi Cholota is back home after her successful extradition from the US.

She is expected to face charges of fraud, corruption and money laundering when she appears in Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.

The alleged crimes relate to a R255 million asbestos contract awarded by Free State Human Settlements to Blackhead Consulting.

At the time, Cholota was working as a personal assistant to then Prime Minister Ace Magashule.
