A vehicle worth R4 million belonging to a Member of Parliament was stolen at a parking lot in Menlyn Mall in Pretoria on Thursday.
Police acted swiftly and tracked down the vehicle and the suspect just outside of Polokwane.
According to police the car was on its way to be smuggled into Zimbabwe.
The 42-year-old Zimbabwean national was charged with possession of a presumed stolen vehicle and contravention of the Immigration Act as he is in the country illegally.
He is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Monday
