A 30-year-old municipal law enforcement officer in the
Eastern Cape has been arrested for murder and attempted murder after the
discovery of two bodies in a car in Quigney, East London, and a wounded person
in a nearby hotel room.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa,
said officers were alerted to the bodies, which were found in a Nissan Almera
parked next to a hotel in the area.

provided details about the incident in Quigney.

“Police got suspicious and investigated further, and
the suspect was immediately placed on the crime scene and arrested,”
Mawisa said.

He is expected to appear in the East London Magistrate’s
Court on Monday, on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
