Another coalition agreement between the DA and FF Plus is on shaky ground – this time in Langeberg, the Western Cape. 

On Wednesday afternoon, the DA said the coalition between it and the FF Plus had dissolved, following a dispute the DA lodged against the FF Plus over a refusal to support the coalition’s budget in the council in May.

While the DA’s provincial leader, Tertuis Simmers, added this constituted a material breach of the coalition agreement, FF Plus Western Cape leader Corné Mulder maintained the party was sticking to the agreement between both parties and that the DA had walked away unilaterally.
