The death toll in the deadly tavern shooting in Kanana, near Orkney outside Klerksdorp, has risen to eight.
The suspects arrived at the tavern, looking for Basotho individuals, and then randomly fired shots, killing eight people.
“The suspects then took the CCTV system, cash from the till, and a snooker table. They also robbed patrons of their cell phones before fleeing the scene,” said Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone.
The motive has not been determined, and no arrests have been made.
A police task team has been set up to investigate the shooting.
