Thousands displaced in Cape Town floods as icy cold front hits SA | News24

More than 4 000 people have been left homeless and about 1 000 homes were destroyed after heavy rains caused flooding in the Western Cape over the weekend.

The SA Weather Services (SAWS) released a Level 8 warning for damaging winds, rains and flooding in most parts of the province.

Cold, windy and rainy conditions were experienced across the country over the weekend and are expected to continue into the start of the week.
