Pedestrian Critically Injured in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal Collision

A woman, believed to be in her 60s, was left critically injured this morning when she was hit by a light motor vehicle on the Richmond Road Bridge over the N3 in Pinetown KwaZulu Natal.


ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the woman lying in the middle of the road.


Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she was in a critical condition, having sustained numerous injuries.


The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was transported to RK Khan Hospital for further treatment.


The driver of the vehicle fortunately escaped injury.


Traffic was heavily affected due to the collision.


Local authorities will be investigating the cause of the collision.
